In line with the Our Lady of Fatima Academy of Davao, Inc.’s (OLFAI) aim to serve the larger community with special concern for the needy and underprivileged,John Paul D. Sapsal, a Grade 12 ABM student, organized the Alampat: Coloring Booklet Project. Primarily anchored on United Nations’ 4th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on Quality Education, the said project mainly involved the creation and distribution of three coloring booklets with stories centered on Values Education on the months of June and October 2019.
These originally written and illustrated booklets aimed to develop the children’s reading comprehension in Filipino and English, encourage their passion for art, and instill within them the important values which every Filipino must possess.
The project entailed a story-reading or read-aloud session with the OLFAI pupils and the kids from the Archdiocesan Nourishment Center (ANC) and from Isla Verde of Brgy. 23-C. Important school supplies were also distributed to the off-school beneficiaries of the project.
You may catch a glimpse of these coloring booklets at the OLFAI Library. For a clearer overview of Alampat, please watch the video summary.
